Successful Inclusion in Mainstream Schools for learners with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger’s Syndrome)
Course led by Alison Reevey, Sian Tucker and Bea Makin with guest speakers
PURPOSE OF THE COURSE:
To promote successful inclusion for pupils with ASD in mainstream schools
To provide enhanced knowledge and skills for key staff in every school
To facilitate all B&NES schools to be “ASD-friendly”
AUDIENCE: Teachers and Teaching Assistants (preferably 2 people per school)
Those attending should be able to audit and influence practice within their schools. The course is not designed as an introduction or awareness raising opportunity. There is an expectation that participants will attend all 3 sessions and produce an action plan for their school.

Wednesday April 21st 2010 - 9 a.m. to 3.30pm
Wednesday May 5th 2010 - 9 a.m. to 3.30pm
Wednesday May 12th 2010 - 9 a.m. to 3.30pm
VENUE: Fosse Way School, Longfellow Road, Radstock BA3 3AL
COST: £60 per person (for all three days). Lunch and refreshments provided.
