Fosse Way Six aside team do well in tournament!

Our six a side football team taking on teams from other schools!

On Wednesday 22nd February the school six a side football team took part in a tournament at Welshspring Sports Centre, Taunton. The team were fantastic, playing skillful determined football with exemplary sportsmanship. We won all our three group games which put us into the finals. We won the semi final but lost out in the final to Kingsdon Manor - a team we had beaten in the group stage. However being runners up in the SSSSA 6 a side tournament is a commendable achievement. Well done to all players and Mr Conrad & Mr Moon for taking the team.

The team was: Leyton Jones, Adam Smith (capt), Andrew James, Shawn Simmons, Haydn Draper, Tommy Clemson, Josh Beattie & Shaun Matthias.

Goalscorers: Haydn Draper 5, Shaun Matthias 4, Shawn Simmons 2, Andrew James 1
